Andy's experience within the music industry is vast. He was trained at the Birminghamwhere he gained his G.B.S.M. & A.B.S.M qualifications (Graduate & Associate of the Birmingham School of Music). He started out as a viola player, playing in many orchestras including the National Youth orchestra of Wales. He has performed at The Albert Hall in the "Last night of the Proms" and at many concert halls here in Wales and abroad. In fact he even performed a Viola Concerto with a full orchestra at Llandaff Cathedral in Cardiff. He also has experience of conducting a small sinfonia/orchestra.
Vocally, he has also taken part and performed in a number of musicals, notably, Fiddler on the Roof, Guys & Dolls, and he even played the lead roll of Joseph in Joseph & the amazing technicoloured dream coat.
When he left the school of music in Birmingham, Andy decided to pursue music via his other instrument, the piano (taking piano lessons alongside his viola studies), and was inspired by Howard Jones to begin using keyboards to make music andarrangements.
He spent 2 years working with the electronic Harpist Fausto Franco, who had played with the famous group "Los Paraguayos", as his "backing band" playing alongside him in various concerts up and down the UK, also releasing two albums of great "easy listening" music. He then set up the http://anewsong4u.webs.com/company he now runs today in the early 1990s making in an initial ten year period over 1,000 quality backing tracks for commercial sale. He has also worked with many songwriters to produce their songs and is also a notable songwriter himself -
During that time he also gained further live keyboard and lead singing experience with playing in a full time 4 piece band called "Countdown".
Charlotte Church was introduced to Andy before she became famous via another client and family member of hers, Caroline Cooper. He provided some early quality backing music for the singing star to rehearse and practice her craft with.
In the late 90s Andy was called upon by a group in London called Pure Gossip, connected with the famous 70s group Hot Gossip, to musically produce their 1st initial single called - Absolute Essensual - a track which you can listen to on the home page of this website.
Andy produced most of the backing music for Paul Child's very successful "Wales Forever" album which to date has sold over 100,000 copies. The backing tracks are available for re-sale via this website.
In the last few years, Andy has added to his musical skills & abilities with a full knowledge of web design and SEO optimization. He is able to design quality looking websites but more importantly make them appear high up in the rankings in the Search Engines - especially Google! - a rare skill! -
